The writing-desk of St. Therese in northern New Jersey on Monday, October 21, 2013

 The writing-desk of St. Therese is to make one more stop in northern New Jersey, sponsored by the Byzantine Eparchy of Passaic. This Monday, October 21, 2013, the writing-desk will be venerated at St. Michael Cathedral Chapel, 415 Lackawanna Avenue, Woodland Park, New Jersey.

The schedule for this "encounter with St. Therese" is:

11:00 a.m.  Prayer service

Followed by the opportunity to pray in the presence of the writing-desk until 2:00 p.m.

According to the schedule posted by the Pontifical Mission Societies, this is the last public event in the Northeast.  Only one more public event remains: on Thursday, October 24, in Venice, Florida.

At least 500 people venerated the writing-desk of St. Therese after the 5:15 p.m. Mass in the crypt of the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C. on October 3, 2013.

Tomorrow the desk returns to the Discalced Carmelite nuns, Therese's own order, at their monastery in St. Louis.

The writing-desk of St. Therese to be venerated in Orange County, California on Wednesday, September 18 and Thursday, September 19, 2013

The writing-desk of St. Therese of Lisieux will be oresent at the 8th Annual Orange County Catholic Prayer Breakfast on the morning of Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at the Future Christ Cathedral, 12141 Lewis Street, Garden Grove, CA  92840.  More than a thousand guests are expected at the breakfast.

After that, the writing-desk will be exposed for public veneration at the Future Christ Cathedral that same day, Wednesday, September 18, from 12 noon through 10 p.m. that night, and again from 6:00 a.m. through 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 18.  Before making plans to come and pray in the presence of the writing-desk, please be sure to consult this detailed brochure with hours, events, liturgies, and places.
