Dear Rachel,

Oh, yes! When Therese told her father that she wanted to become a nun, he plucked a little white flower from the garden and told her how God had brought it into being and protected it with care, just as God had protected her. She saved it all her life, and, when she wrote her memories, she called them "Springtime story of a little white flower." How blessed you are to have chosen her for your confirmation Patron. May she obtain many graces for you.

This past Sunday, my husband and I visited the Reliquary of St. Therese and her parents at the Carmelite Monastery in Philadelphia. St. Therese has showered us with love and roses for over 20 years of marriage. That afternoon I came across your informative and inspirational site for the first time. I don't know how I missed it previously!

Thank you so much for publishing the story about Bishop Guy Gaucher. It is wonderful to read about his devotion and life's work. May he rest in peace and enjoy his much deserved heavenly reward.

Therese of Child Jesus was named one of the patron saints of the missions because of her love of the missions,and the prayers and letters she gave in support of missionaries.
Thank you and greetings from Polish.

I am so grateful to St Therese I have no adequate words to express this only to say that to the end of my life I will be eternally grateful for her presence and help, I have always been sceptical of miracles despite wanting to believe. I came across St Therese in Lourdes many years ago and today I can say without any that she was my miracle at Lourdes all those years ago.

Dear Maurine: Thank you for this beautiful book:THE LILIES AND THE ROSE. We met at Carmel,11-17-13. It was a beautiful, grace filled day! I live a short distance from Carmel: such holy ground. I too graduated from Little Flower but Therese came into my life, years later. I am blessed to be named one of her friends. This is such a beautiful website.
St. Therese and Blessed Zellie and Louis, pray for my family, more vocations to Carmel in Phila. and more holy priest. Also, bless Maureen for all the work she has done to share the Martin Family with so many. Dear Jesus may this entire family be canonized one day. Thank you, Jesus

How Therese touches us all - me a Scottish Episcopalian, Director of Music at my church. How I cried for her and then was so grateful for her life and gifts of insight and spirituality. So she is declared a Doctor of the Church - no surprise. The miracle of the publishing of her writings cannot be underestimated. She has touched souls throughout the world. What could be better!

This weekend, May 19, 2013, the Roman Catholic Church will celebrate its birthday, the coming of the Holy Spirit. The life of St. Therese exemplifies her journey of faith with the Holy Spirit.
Receiving the gifts of simplicity, trust and poverty of spirit, she pursued Christ with perseverance. Each time I anointed a terminal patient at a hospice, I presented a picture of St. Therese which would provide spiritual comfort. I firmly believe in this Holy Sacrament of Anointing as well as the Holy Sacrament of Presence of the Holy Spirit with simplicity and trust.

115 years ago today
yet she seems so close to me

Saint Therese, thank you so much for all that you have done for us--your faithful followers. O gentle saint, thank you for calming us in times of uncertainty and dispair. Your presence in our loves encourages us to continue with hope and faith in Our Lord Jesus. O Therese, you stated you will come down from heaven, and we thank you for keeping your promise.

We thank your sister Pauline for giving us this statement, which has now become our prayer: "We love having our Therese with us, for then we feel no harm can touch us." Saint Therese of the Child Jesus of the Holy Face, God bless you and your holy family. Amen.

Ste Therese I wish to thank you . I asked you for a rose on my birthday and I received it. I spent a divine evening at my praise & worship charismatic session and spent a wonderful evening with my boyfriend.
Ste Therese I pray and trust that you will shower plenty on roses on my boyfriend and me , on our relationship so that we have a beautiful future together for the Glory of our Lord.
Thank you Ste Therese

To Therese
~~~~~~~
Therese,
Your 'little way'to the Heart of Jesus
Counsels us to accept spiritual poverty;
To have confidence in Our eternal Father;
And commit ourselves to the practice of love.
A distillation of the teachings
Of John of The Cross
And Teresa of Avila;
A spirituality which is the fruit
Of the Gospels.
Yes, I thank You
For "it is love alone that counts".
