Please sign the guestbook to "St. Therese of Lisieux: A Gateway"

This weekend, May 19, 2013, the Roman Catholic Church will celebrate its birthday, the coming of the Holy Spirit. The life of St. Therese exemplifies her journey of faith with the Holy Spirit.
Receiving the gifts of simplicity, trust and poverty of spirit, she pursued Christ with perseverance. Each time I anointed a terminal patient at a hospice, I presented a picture of St. Therese which would provide spiritual comfort. I firmly believe in this Holy Sacrament of Anointing as well as the Holy Sacrament of Presence of the Holy Spirit with simplicity and trust.

115 years ago today
yet she seems so close to me

Saint Therese, thank you so much for all that you have done for us--your faithful followers. O gentle saint, thank you for calming us in times of uncertainty and dispair. Your presence in our loves encourages us to continue with hope and faith in Our Lord Jesus. O Therese, you stated you will come down from heaven, and we thank you for keeping your promise.

We thank your sister Pauline for giving us this statement, which has now become our prayer: "We love having our Therese with us, for then we feel no harm can touch us." Saint Therese of the Child Jesus of the Holy Face, God bless you and your holy family. Amen.

Ste Therese I wish to thank you . I asked you for a rose on my birthday and I received it. I spent a divine evening at my praise & worship charismatic session and spent a wonderful evening with my boyfriend.
Ste Therese I pray and trust that you will shower plenty on roses on my boyfriend and me , on our relationship so that we have a beautiful future together for the Glory of our Lord.
Thank you Ste Therese

To Therese
~~~~~~~
Therese,
Your 'little way'to the Heart of Jesus
Counsels us to accept spiritual poverty;
To have confidence in Our eternal Father;
And commit ourselves to the practice of love.
A distillation of the teachings
Of John of The Cross
And Teresa of Avila;
A spirituality which is the fruit
Of the Gospels.
Yes, I thank You
For "it is love alone that counts".
The Final Promise
(In memory of Fr. Norbet)
Beneath the April sun
Daffodils and early bluebells
Quivered in the Monastery
Grounds…
In oratorical silence
Cantoring at vespers
In consort with my fraternity
Led by Father Norbet.
As I read the second reading
Of The Mass
The Spirit of Christ
Arose in my heart…
Like a bride
I made my promise:
A mystical covenant
With a person
Whose presence was obvious.
I entered Carmel
Praising God
For calling me
To the Mount of Love
In the footsteps of Teresa
And John.
Now in mantled brown
I pursue the wounded Stag
Upon the hill
With the help of my friends
Elizabeth and Therese
"What must pass in the Heart of the good God when we return to Him?...more swiftly will He forget all our iniquities, never again to remember then...He will love us still better than before our fault"
If you need further help in translation from French to English,
The simple,joyful life of St. Therese and her family and Sisters in religious life has much to teach us in the 21st century.
May many people come to know the love of Jesus as the Little Flower did!
Our journey of faith begins and ends with one desire, a solemn desire: to love and be loved. Where else is this solemn desire expressed in one's heart, mind, soul, then within the celebration of the Holy Eucharist wherein we become a member of Christ's divine nature and He of our human nature. It is then when the priest prays: "By the mystery of this water and wine may we come to share in the divinity of Christ who humbled Himself to share in our humanity."
Dear Maureen,
Thank you for helping our sweet Ste Therese teach us all the Little Way and help us become closer and more aware of the Martin family.
The most wonderful site to read and enjoy each day. May we all pray for the Blessed Martins for a second Miracle, and for our Blessed Pope John Paul II.
Ste. Therese of Lisieux said, ‘I will spend my eternity showering roses upon the earth,’ and Blessed John Paul II, and The Blessed Martins I feel are also doing this...
Blessings to you Maureen and all whom visit here.
I chose St Therese as my Confirmation Saint, after praying for her intercession a couple of years ago I was introduced to the Catholic Faith in a fuller way and healed of anxiety and fear. St Therese pray for us all. AMEN
Our Little Flower
Our little flower,
Therese,
Shows us
The way to God
For He dwells
Within her heart.
So walk with her
‘Her little way’
For it is based
Upon love -
Whose source is
Our Father-
Whose Spirit
Through our
Mother’s ‘Yes’
Ensured the birth
Of Our Saviour.
The Brown Scapular
Wearing the Scapular
Is honouring Jesus
And His Mother
Not the source
Of an easy way
To their home
If wearing
The Scapular
And not
Following
Our Saviour
His land
Is closed to us
As wearers
We imitate
The virtues
Of our Mother
For Mary
Shared the path
Of Her Son
And the Scapular
Implies that reality
