    Zelie attended Notre-Dame Church in her youth, when she lived on Rue Saint-Blaise, so she and Louis were married there on July 12, 1858. When the family moved from Rue Pont-Neuf back to Zelie's family home in 1871, they worshipped at Notre Dame. Therese, born in 1873, was the only Martin child baptized here.

    The chateau inherited by the Guerin family from M. Auguste David, a cousin of Celine Fournet Guerin, Isidore's wife. Louis Martin spent the summers of 1893 and 1894 here, and it was here that he died on July 29, 1894.
