Lent with Saint Therese

A Lenten Journey with Jesus Christ and St. Therese of Lisieux, by Fr. John Russell, O. Carm., is an excellent handbook for Lent.  It includes the text of the gospel for every day, a selection from the writings of St. Therese, a short reflection, and a short prayer.  The book is made more useful by introductions to Therese, to the Carmelite Order, and to "Prayer, Scripture, and Lectio Divina."  Even if you have only a short time each day to give to your Lenten prayer, you will find many useful resources between the covers of this book.  If you want a mobile Lent, it's also available in Kindle.

Stations of the Cross at Lisieux with Saint Therese

For Lent I am happy to present Susan Ehlert's film of the Stations of the Cross behind the Basilica of Saint Therese at Lisieux.  This six-minute film blends the photos of the Stations with music and with images and texts of Therese.  As we accompany Jesus in His dying and His rising, may God grant us to understand the meaning of His death and His resurrection and to let it be reflected in our lives.
